PHYSICS LEDGER / VERSION SENSITIVE
Mechanics before shortcuts.
The route only makes sense when the physics match. This ledger separates official features from community-reported changes.
Stable, official pillars
Gravity control
Gravity control is part of the official game pitch and belongs in route testing, not just recovery.
Shortcuts
The official description explicitly invites players to discover shortcuts while chasing medals and leaderboard times.
Collectibles
Collectibles create a separate optimization problem from a pure finish-time route.
Leaderboards
Times need a category and build context before they are comparable.
Community-reported physics changes
Steam Community posts discuss spring jumps, slow-ramp landing behavior, removal of triple jumps and wallhugs, and double-jump coyote time. Treat these as version notes to reproduce, not universal laws.
If a route depends on one of these behaviors, test it on the current build before teaching it.
Comparison rule
Keep demo categories and release categories separate. A time is only useful when the category, build, and completion condition match.
